When the trio lived in our home town, we had a tradition of having lunch here at the house most Sundays. One of Hrant's favorite meals was "2 AM Ribs," so named because DH actually got up at 2:00 in the morning to put the ribs in the slow cooker.
We attended a recent concert in which they performed Schoenfield's Cafe Music (the coolest piece of music I've heard in a while) and Mendelssohn's Piano Trio No. 1 in D Minor. As I was watching them perform, I thought, how lucky we are to know them, and how lucky we are to get to see them perform every now and then.

2am Ribs - that's a great name for a dish (and even for a restaurant)!
It's never better to hear compliments than when they come from dear friends. We had a wonderful time with you and only wish we'd not had to leave so quickly!
JIhye--we'll remember that if we ever open a restaurant! Ben--it was fun having you guys. See you tonight!
we are lucky to have YOU as our friends you beautiful people:)
nice blog TS:) what would Dh stand for?
easy with the Wii i've had shoulder problems every time i touch it
Hi, Hrant! DH can stand for "dear husband," "dumb husband," etc. It's very flexible!
Yes, I got a sore shoulder from playing with the boxing game. No, really! I'm pretty good at it!!
I heard about that Wii problem Hrant has.. hehehe. Is it worse than Guitar hero? That was pretty severe for me..
(Hey, Ben says "Dumpy Hubby" for DH)
Jihye: I'd love to see you playing Guitar Hero! Did you guys get my mail?
Ben: Good thing DH doesn't read this. (Oh, wait a minute--he does read it!)
Hrant: I ran into Leah at Opera Night, and she is still talking about the baklava she didn't get to eat.
Yes I was just going to email you about the DVD - it arrived yesterday. So nicely done! I have not watched it yet, but will email you after I do that. Thank you SO MUCH! (Oh and I played guitar hero when Matt Dunlap lived in Montgomery. It was fun but I was too into it, I suppose..)
Great. The DVD is in HD widescreen, by the way.
